The year is 1885 and Arizona is in a state of chaos: the people of Stetson City are drunk on whiskey and moral values are in decline. The Trigger Whiskey Saloon is run by a truly crazy group of gangsters. Doug Badman is the owner of the renowned saloon, Tornado Lou sings the Tornado to the amusement of those present, and Horace alias Hogo Fogo, a gangster by nature, hatches his mean and insidious plans. Pharmacist Ezra Goodman and his daughter Winnifred are the last righteous in this horrific and corrupt city. One day Joe, a representative of the Kolaloka lemonade brand, arrives on a white horse and decides to offer the alcoholics a cure in the form of non-alcoholic lemonade. However, it is clear that the alcoholics will not give up their drug so easily.
Even among the very creative and diverse Czech film production of the 1960s, this film stands out with its many absurd elements, the special look (see, for example, the different color casts in the images) and its setting in the Wild West.
This film will be shown as part of the series "Czech Film Wednesday" , as always in the original version with German subtitles.
